I'm writing a book: When Missions Go Wrong. To read more about that, or to contribute a story, please visit my blog.
Following five years' editorial work in-house for publishers including Hodder & Stoughton, I've been freelance since 2006. These twelve years of word-wrangling experience are backed up by a BA degree in Linguistics and English Language, an MA in Language Studies, and industry-standard training in copywriting, editing and proofreading. I am an associate of the SfEP.

As a writer, I love making words work to express an idea, hand-picking a turn of phrase for a particular audience.
As an editor, I enjoy ordering and organising words, sorting out syntax and creating consistency.
And as a proofreader, I delight in the detail of a well-placed semicolon, an accurate cross-reference, and the correct use of an en-rule.
So if you need a writer, or you have words that need organising, tidying up, or refining, click the links above for more information or to contact me. I'd love to hear from you.
